Lemida Africa is a non-governmental organization (NGO) registered under NGO-8LFJ with its headquarters in Hurlingam, Nairobi. We are committed to driving transformative change in Kenya’s agricultural and forestry sectors by addressing food security, poverty alleviation, and environmental sustainability.

Through innovative approaches, we empower smallholder farmers and community organizations to maximize their potential, enhance value addition, and access competitive markets.

Margaret Kibogy (O.G.W)

Executive Director

Margaret Rugut Kibogy OGW is a seasoned executive whose leadership has strengthened public institutions, advanced agricultural transformation, and fostered partnerships that improve livelihoods.
Margaret previously served as the Managing Director of the Kenya Dairy Board, where she spearheaded transformative reforms that strengthened the dairy sector.

Her outstanding contributions to leadership, governance, and agricultural transformation have earned her numerous national and regional recognitions, including the Safe Homes Safe Spaces Award, Agricultural East Africa CEO of the Year, Runner-up, Women on Boards CEO of the Year Award, and the prestigious Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) Presidential Award.

Margaret has served as a Board Member of Eldoret Water and Sanitation Services Company, Chairperson of the Kenya Credit and Debit Card Association, Board Member of Restore a Dream Africa, and Board Member of CPF Group Uganda. Through these leadership roles, she has contributed to strengthening corporate governance, advancing institutional strategy, and promoting sustainable development across diverse sectors.

Driven by integrity, transparency, innovation, and servant leadership, Margaret remains committed to empowering communities, fostering strategic partnerships, and positioning Lemida Africa as a catalyst for sustainable transformation across the continent.

Jane Wakaimba

Director Operations


Jane  Wakaimba, she provides strategic leadership in strengthening the organization’s operations, systems, and programme delivery to advance sustainable development. With extensive experience in operations management, programme administration, grants management, donor compliance, and institutional strengthening, she plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence, fostering strategic partnerships, and supporting impactful initiatives that promote sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, environmental stewardship, and the economic empowerment of women, youth, and rural communities.

Jane has built a distinguished career leading operations and programme management across government, diplomatic, and international development institutions. Through senior leadership roles, including Director – Information & Media Relations at the Office of the President, Senior Grants Manager at Rural Women Peace Link, Program Manager at the Kenya Parliamentary Human Rights Association, and VSU at the Australian High Commission, she has consistently strengthened organizational systems, enhanced stakeholder collaboration, and supported the successful delivery of high-impact programmes

 She is passionate about building efficient systems, fostering collaboration, and strengthening organizational capacity to deliver sustainable, community-driven solutions that create lasting impact.

Luke Simam

Finance Manager


As Lemida Africa’s finance manager, Luke Kinyor Simam brings knowledge of organizational governance, strategic planning, and financial management. He is dedicated to enhancing financial accountability and creating robust financial systems that, via honesty, openness, and prudent resource management, support the organization’s long-term viability.

Luke has established a solid career in financial management in both the public and private sectors. He is skilled in financial reporting, donor fund management, budgeting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. Given his expertise, he possesses the capacity to support informed decision-making, increase the organization’s financial resilience, and provide excellent financial monitoring.

Prior to his current role, Luke served as an Accountant at Strategic Atelier and held finance positions at the Kenya Roads Board and the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC). These roles strengthened his expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and financial analysis, equipping him to support Lemida Africa’s commitment to accountability, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

Shilda Bor

Administrative Manager

Shilda J Bor brings together HR administration, project coordination, and operations management into a career built around one through line: making organizations run better so their work can reach further. Across the private and nonprofit sectors, she has strengthened teams and systems in agriculture, community development, and food security programs.

Her project management background shows up in the details — coordinating partnerships, streamlining office operations, and keeping programs on track from planning through delivery. She has a particular interest in agricultural and food security initiatives that build sustainable livelihoods, and in the operational groundwork that makes those programs succeed.

Outside her day-to-day role, Shilda is invested in leadership development, women’s empowerment, youth programs, and innovation in agriculture. She approaches her work with a people-first mindset, pairing strong organizational instincts with a steady commitment to integrity and impact.

At the core of it: she believes good leadership and well-run organizations are how communities actually change for the better.
